Did you know that people after a Chiari decompression surgery are know as zipperheads due to the zipper like scar on the back of their neck?
In summer of 2017, I had decompression surgery. They removed about 2 large postage stamps worth of skull at the base, removed 1/3 of my C1 vertebrae and fixed 3 small holes which were leaking spinal fluid.
This gave my brain more space and stopped a lot of the symptoms. But there is a catch....
I can't lift over 25 lbs, wear high heels, do impact exercises or do anything that could cause whiplash effect.
If I do something to cause the brain to herniate more, they will have to remove the portion of the brain that is hanging down.
Time for big changes.
